Neo Tribe

I am totally in love with this apparelnews.net editorial.  It’s an inspiring way to mix edgy with tribal in a ‘motocross-meets-post-apocalyptic mash-up.’  I am especially in love with the Dona Daneshi beaded silk brocade coat (4th image down) and the Report Signature shoes.

Fall 2010 trend break down

Posted: March 23rd, 2010 | Author: Amanda | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Fashionsnoops.com breaks down some of the major trends for this year at MAGIC.

Nothing new or groundbreaking but try mixing a few trends together to create a fresh look.  For example, mix a lacey tank with a pair of baggy harem trousers, throw a strong shoulder blazer over a body con dress, pair a baggy boyfriend shirt with a second skin pair of leather pants, or wear a slouchy cardigan belted over a silky lace shift.  Try not to mix too many trends at once or it could result in trend overkill.  Have fun with it but don’t let the trends restrict your fashion creativity!  Keep in mind that most trends are derrived from funky street style ensambles so always keep a fun, personal twist on your look.

Heading to Chicago this weekend to check out some potential production options!  Have a great week!!

AC

POOL trade show Feb.2010

Posted: February 27th, 2010 | Author: Amanda | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Back from Vegas!  It was such a great show and the energy there is so refreshing.   Since I did not go at all in 2009 it was nice to get back in the mix.  Kimberly, Kjurek Couture, and I shared a booth to cut costs and it was well worth it.  Our new fall collections complemented each others perfectly and we even had some free time to meet up with our sales reps.  We got some great feedback on our collections and there are potentially a few great things that could happen in the near future, I don’t want to mention any store names yet.  Thank you Ashley for all your love and support at the show and I hope to see everyone again in August previewing my up and coming Spring 2011 collection!

Our shared booth space, lucky #408.

Down the mail hallway were brands such as Jeffery Campbell and American Apparel.

(see my manequin on right) The Cash and Carry section had some great finds that you could purchase on the spot.

I’m hoping for a corner booth for August so cross your fingers!

Cliche Avoid the Grey

Posted: January 26th, 2010 | Author: Amanda | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Finally, after having a hacker temporarily disable my site, I am free to blog again!  And just in time to announce the upcoming Cliche Avoid the Grey fashion show this Thursday the 28th.  Unfortunately, they sold out but for all you non-procrastinators who purchased you tickets ahead of time, expect a unique group of established and up-and-coming designers such as Kjurek Couture, Red Shoe Clothing Co., Ivan Idland, and a very anticipated Tender Cuts collection.

I will be featuring 5 looks from my Spring 2010 collection paired with incredible hand made jewelry by Lauren from InfaRedStudio (http://www.infraredstudio.etsy.com).

Stay tuned for pics from the night and I look forward to seeing you all there!
